Supporting Trans Job Seekers This Pride

Resources, Real Talk, and a Workshop Just for You

Pride Month is a celebration—but for many transgender and nonbinary people, it’s also a reminder that workplace inclusion still has a long way to go. At TI Executives, we’re using this season to spotlight an often-overlooked need: career support for transgender job seekers.

Whether you're an employer, an ally, or someone navigating the job market yourself, this moment is about more than rainbow flags. It's about creating real opportunities for belonging, growth, and purpose.

The Reality for Trans Job Seekers

Trans and nonbinary people face significantly higher rates of job discrimination, unemployment, and underemployment than their cisgender peers. Even with legal protections in some places, bias and misinformation remain common in hiring, onboarding, and advancement.

That’s why career support matters—not just general resume tips or job boards, but programs created specifically for trans people, by people who understand their experiences.

A New Kind of Workshop—Built for Trans Folks

This summer, we’re launching a virtual career workshop for transgender job seekers who are ready to explore meaningful work—not just a paycheck.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Discover their strengths and values

  • Explore career paths that align with their identity and goals

  • Learn how to navigate interviews and workplace culture as their full selves

  • Build a supportive community of peers and allies

Whether you're a student choosing a major, returning to the workforce, or exploring a career change, this space is for you.

Come See Us at the Annapolis Pride Parade!

📍 We’ll be tabling at the Annapolis Pride Parade on Friday, May 31!

We’ll be:

  • Sharing resources for trans job seekers, families, and employers

  • Sign up to be a part of our raffle

  • Talking about our summer workshop and answering questions

  • Building bridges between job seekers and inclusive employers

If you're planning to attend, come say hi! We’d love to connect and offer support in person.

For Employers: A Pride Month Reminder

If you're an employer or HR professional, Pride Month is a great time to reflect on your current hiring and inclusion practices. Ask yourself:

  • Are our job descriptions inclusive?

  • Do our interview panels reflect diversity?

  • Are we prepared to support a transgender employee's transition at work?

  • Do we offer gender-affirming benefits and policies?

Not sure where to start? We’ll be sharing a blog post on May 31st with practical tips for businesses on how to support LGBTQ+ employees during Pride Month (and beyond). Stay tuned or subscribe to our email list to get it first.

Why This Work Matters

We believe that transgender people deserve careers—not just jobs—that reflect their worth, talents, and potential.
We believe that inclusive workplaces don’t happen by accident—they happen through action.
And we believe Pride Month is a time to recommit to both.

By supporting trans professionals and their employers, we create stronger teams, better companies, and a more just workforce for everyone.
